Making a difference in someone’s life has been Katie’s passion since she began her journey into Kinesiology. Katie attended The University of Western Ontario and graduated with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology in 2014. Teaching group fitness classes since 2015, Katie has met and worked with individuals of various fitness levels. This experience helped her to see the benefits of a personalized and evidence-based exercise plan to aid in injury recovery, while setting the foundation for life-long health.
As a Mom of two daughters, Katie has gained a whole new appreciation for the prenatal and postnatal community. As a pelvic floor fitness specialist, Katie is very passionate about educating women on the importance of pelvic floor health and incorporating this in her training and treatment.
She believes that collaboration between the patient and clinician is essential to the development of a sustainable plan. Katie’s treatment is exercise and education focused and frequently applies soft-tissue and joint mobilization techniques to complement her movement-based approach to therapy when appropriate.
Katie has helped numerous people from elite athletes to geriatrics, improve their health and performance, and to overcome acute and long-term debilitating injury, through functional movement skills, and strength and conditioning.

“I always look forward to my weekly session with Katie. Her workouts are tailored to my needs and goals and are never repetitive, new moves continuously coming my way! She is extremely motivating, always encouraging and gives great feedback throughout the session. My time goes by so fast, when finished I can’t wait to see her again the following week. If you’re looking for an experienced trainer and overall fantastic person, Katie is for you!”

"For five years, I have had the privilege of being trained by Katie. She is highly knowledgeable, offering individualized modifications, and, best of all, is incredibly positive and motivating as a coach. I initially began by participating in her Gentle Fit class, and now, also attend a Personal Training session. Reflecting on my five year journey since retiring, I can’t believe the difference in my form, strength, stability, endurance, self awareness and, most recently, personal goal setting. If you are looking for a way to stay fit, healthy and strong, but are unsure how to begin, I highly recommend Katie’s small group sessions or one on one training.”

“My daughter and I started attending Katie’s Baby and Me class when she was 3 months old and continued until she was a year. Katie makes everyone feel welcome, and seen. Throughout her classes she offers a range of variations for each exercise to allow each person to go at their own pace, all while encouraging you to push yourself in a way that feels right to you. Katie has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to pelvic floor care and postpartum exercises. I’ve missed attending her classes and the sense of community it brought me since returning to work!”

"I have been attending Katie's Power classes for 5 years now. Not only have I lost weight, with a proper diet, I have also gained strength and endurance, and self confidence. I have more energy now in my early 60's than I had in my 40's and 50's. Katie's class is hard work, but fun and I have met a lot of new friends. Katie's knowledge is endless. Thanks so much Katie!!”
